MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS

            Applicant Eligibility.

            Any person who has been honorably discharged from the military service, or who is presently on active duty in the Army of the United States and who has served or is serving with or has been assigned to the Corps of Intelligence Police, the counter Intelligence Corps, the Security Intelligence Corps, the lnteIIigence Corps. United States Army, or other military organization in which he or she performed duties comparable to those performed by members of the aforementioned shall be eligible for direct and/or life membership.

            (a) Any person who is not eligible for direct membership, but who has rendered meritorious service consistent with the purpose of the Association, may be accepted as an honorary member without vote.
            (b) Any organized group whose membership conforms to the eligibility of members under. Paragraph (a) above
.



            Membership Acceptance.

            Members shall be elected in the following manner:

            (a) Any person desiring to be a direct NCICA member shall submit an application on the form provided to the Membership Chairman, stating his or her name, address, qualification and such other information as may be deemed proper by the Board of Governors. The Membership Committee shall submit its recommendation to the Board of Governors.
            (b) Any person favorably recommended by the Membership Committee shall be provisionally accepted into membership and shall become a direct member only upon a favorable vote of the Board of Governors at the annual meeting or at any other time of a convened Board of Governors meeting.
            (c) Any direct member desiring to be a Life Member shall submit an application on the form provided by NCICA to the Membership Chairman accompanied by the required fee, and his or her application must be approved favorably by the Board of Governors at the annual meeting or at any other time of a convened Board of Governors meeting.
            (d) Honorary membership only shall be bestowed by a vote on the Board of Governors at the annual meeting
